Chitupa's career as a global strategist has been shaped by more than 30 years of international experience and an upbringing immersed in cultural diversity. Born to a Trinidadian mother and Zambian father, both international lawyers, she grew up navigating different countries, cultures, and perspectives from an early age.
An Education in Adaptation
By the age of twelve, Chitupa had attended thirteen different schools across several countries, developing an instinctive cultural agility, adaptability, and resilience that became foundational to her professional journey.
From Downe House in Berkshire to Southern Methodist University in Dallas and summer study at Tulane University in New Orleans, followed by postgraduate studies in French Linguistics at the Sorbonne and a Master's at Lancaster University, she learned to operate confidently across very different cultural and commercial environments.
A Career Built Across Sectors and Continents
That global perspective was reinforced through a career spanning Price Waterhouse, private equity, infrastructure, and telecommunications, where she held senior responsibility for M&A, investment, and growth strategies.
She went on to found an international consultancy advising organisations on market entry, due diligence, international expansion, and growth across the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Indian Ocean islands; all while coaching thousands of senior leaders and serving on banking and financial services boards.
